On March 12th, 2020 the Czech Government decided in response to the coronavirus to close the borders for people from "risk areas" from March 14th, 2020. These include Germany and Austria as well as Switzerland.

Here are all risk areas: China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, USA, Switzerland, Norway, Japan, Denmark, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, Belgium, Austria, Greece. From Saturday, March 14th, the transportation of people by bus, train and boat from the Czech Republic to all neighboring countries is prohibited. Air traffic is also partially restricted.

According to our knowledge, the arrival will then only be possible for people permanently residing in the Czech Republic or for Czech citizens.

If you are already undergoing therapy or have an initial consultation, please contact us so that we can clarify the situation with you personally.

In general, as well as for initial consultations that have already been agreed, we offer our patients these consultations via Skype or telephone.

Recommendations for coronavirus COVID-19

The arrival of coronavirus COVID-19 in many European countries, and the measures that had to be taken to reduce the disease as much as possible, has caused a worrying situation in the entire population, including pregnant women or women undergoing assisted reproduction therapy, particularly with regard to the potential effects of this virus on treatment, pregnancy or future baby.

Therefore, FertiCare wants to reassure and inform all its patients that we are actively monitoring the development of the virus and at the same time we are implementing at our clinic both the regulations set by the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and the recommendations of scientific societies (ESHRE).

Based on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, we have taken all necessary measures at the FertiCare Clinic to stop spreading of the viral infection and thus ensure the health of our patients and employees:

    • All our staff have been instructed not to go to the clinic if they show any signs of viral disease. This also applies to those who have been in contact with a person who has been tested positively or has traveled to risk areas.
    • We have placed information posters with basic preventive and hygiene measures at various locations in our clinic.
    • In order to avoid the potential risks of direct physical contact, all our employees were advised to avoid shaking hands with patients.
    • Our staff is instructed to wash their hands before and after admitting each patient.
    • We also recommend that all persons entering the clinic wash their hands with soap and water or disinfectant gels, which are available to all at the reception and in the waiting room.
    • The family members of our patients are asked to wait outside the clinic.
    • All our workers have received the necessary protective material.
    • Cleaning and disinfection services throughout the clinic have been strengthened.
    • We removed all magazines from our waiting room.
    • We measure temperature for all employees and patients.
    • We observe possible symptoms in all workers and follow all recommendations of health authorities.

We are very sorry about the inconvenience these measures may cause, but we hope that through the cooperation of all of us, the FertiCare Clinic will be a safe place where we can continue to provide quality care to our patients.

Our doctors offer free initial consultation via skype or by phone.
